Terms & Conditions

  • Straighteners or Hair Dryers not collected or paid for after a period of 3 months will be disposed of.
  • Payments are cash or debit/credit card via Paypal. We also accept bank transfer. We don't accept cheques.
  • Cables which have been replaced as part of a repair will not be covered by our 6 month guarantee if returned in a twisted state. Please refer to the Hints & Tips page for cable care.
  • We do not and will never accept any stolen goods. By using our recycle for cash service you are agreeing that the appliance is yours to sell, that it was not acquired illegally in any manner and if recycling on behalf of another party that full consent has been received by that party. We will co operate fully with authorities should there be any suspected illegal activity.
  • If a fake set or any of the models we have indicated that we can't repair are sent to us, we will only return them after the return postage fee is paid.
  • When packaging the appliance please ensure the plug is not in contact with either casings or plates as this may result in damage in transit. We are not responsible for in-transit damage or loss in the post.
  • Non ghd appliances sent to us are very much dependent on the availability of spare parts. Should an appliance be sent to us and cannot be repaired due to the unavailability of spare parts, a return postage fee must be paid should you wish for the return of the straightener or hair dryer. Contact us prior to sending.
  • It is not our responsibility to check if straighteners or hair dryers are still under the manufacturers warranty. Please be aware that should any work be carried out on an item that is still within the manufacturers warranty, then that warranty will become void.
  • We reserve the right not to accept items sent in for recycling if parts have been stripped out, damaged or broken beyond any use or tampered with in any way as to render the item/s useless. Any such items are subject to a return handling and postage cost to be paid by the sender of such items.

Our Guarantee

  • We offer a 6 month parts and labour guarantee for all our repairs. Postage costs to us are for the customer.
  • All parts are fully tested during any repair. Should a different fault occur during the 6 month guarantee period then we will have to charge for that repair.
  • If your cable is replaced and is returned within the 6 months in a twisted state then the guarantee for the cable will be void. It's essential that cables are not wrapped around the straighteners whilst not in use. This causes premature failure of both the cable and potentially other components on the circuit board. See the Hints & Tips page for more information.
  • If the rear filter of a hair dryer is removed whilst in use or missing, allowing abnormal amounts of hair and other debris to enter the motor and other parts, then we are unable to provide a guarantee on any repair.
  • The Guarantee period is valid from the date of the original repair, not from any subsequent repairs unless the subsequent repair was chargeable.
  • Our guarantee does not cover accidental damage to cables, casings, plates or any other parts.
  • Cloud 9 Touch is a 3 month parts and labour guarantee with all other aforementioned conditions.


Returns

  • Our 6 month guarantee covers parts and labour for the work we have carried out.
  • If another fault has developed during the guarantee period then this will be considered a new repair and all costs are for the customer. 
  • Should another fault occur within 14 days of the original repair, we will carry out that repair free of charge and includes return 1st class postage. However postage costs to us is for the customer. This does not apply to broken casings..
